Chengdu Positive Child Development (CPCD) Survey

Investigating child development and well-being in Chengdu

The Chengdu Positive Child Development (CPCD) survey is a longitudinal study that has completed its 5th round of follow-up surveys. The project aims to understand the development, mental health and well-being of children in Chengdu, China. I was a participant in the fourth round of the project and co-leader of the fifth round.

Fieldwork involved collaboration with multiple schools in Chengdu, ensuring comprehensive data collection across diverse demographics.

My Contributions

  • Project Leadership: Directed the 5th wave of the survey, including coordination with participating schools and logistical planning.
  • Data Collection and Processing: Managed field surveys, data entry using Epidata, and ensured accuracy in preliminary data processing.
  • Statistical Analysis: Conducted advanced analysis with tools like SPSS, R, and MLwiN, contributing to scholarly articles and policy recommendations.

  • Identified significant factors contributing to child well-being and mental health in urban settings.
  • Delivered actionable insights for policy-making in education and public health.
  • Provided data-driven recommendations for improving child development programs.
